At the end of March 2025, Joanna Wheeler, Senior Principal Associate in IBFD's Academic Department, will retire after an impressive career spanning over 40 years with the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD). Throughout her time with us, Joanna has held numerous roles and contributed to a wide array of projects in the field of international tax law.

To celebrate her significant impact and legacy, we invite you to a special seminar in her honor. The seminar will open with Joanna reflecting on her distinguished career, followed by sessions addressing current issues in tax treaty law. The day will conclude with a panel discussion focused on the future of international tax cooperation. The speakers for the event include former colleagues, students, and researchers whom Joanna has mentored over the years, representing the broad reach of her influence in the field.
