Submission guidelines and review process

Doctoral manuscripts may be sent immediately after the positive assessment by the doctoral committee and admission to the defence, and even before the final defence takes place to the Managing Editor for an initial screening.

Manuscripts shall not exceed 200,000 words (including footnotes and bibliography). The candidate may submit a longer manuscript but with a commitment to reduce it to the maximum threshold before it is sent for external peer review. Feedback from any of the editorial, internal review, or external peer review stages often requires further amendments to the manuscript, in addition to those that the candidate implements following the advice received during the defence.

Authors are referred to the Guidelines and support for author instructions, style and spelling guidelines and citation and referencing style.

Submissions will be run through plagiarism check software following the Plagiarism Policy.

No fee is charged to authors for submission or production.
