IBFD and ATAF Sign MoU to Enhance Tax Collaboration

On December 3, 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda, IBFD and the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the ATAF Annual Meeting.

Representing IBFD at the signing ceremony was Belema Obuoforibo, Chair of the Centre for Studies in African Taxation and Member of the IBFD Executive Board. ATAF was represented by its Executive Secretary, Mr Logan Wort.

The MoU outlines a strategic framework for cooperation in areas such as capacity development, knowledge exchange on international and domestic taxation, and joint publication and research initiatives.

As IBFD and ATAF continue their efforts to serve the African tax community, this collaboration underscores their shared commitment to forging partnerships that empower tax administrations and support sustainable development on the continent.
