IBFD and Moroccan Tax Administration Collaborate on Capacity Building and Research in Taxation
IBFD and the Moroccan Tax Administration have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen capacity building and collaborate on research projects.
On Monday 24 July, IBFD welcomed delegates from the Moroccan Tax Administration in Amsterdam to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and start a long period of cooperation in capacity-building and research projects.
The Moroccan Tax Administration were represented by Mr Younes Idrissi Kaitouni, Director General, Mr Mohammed Sbai, Director of Human Resources and Mrs Laila Benchekroun, Head of International Taxation and Cooperation Division. From IBFD, they were hosted by Belema Obuoforibo, Director IBFD Knowledge Centre and Victor van Kommer, Director IBFD Tax Services, accompanied by members of their teams.
During their time at the IBFD office, IBFD shared its experience on capacity building for tax administrations and presented initiatives of the IBFD Knowledge Centre and the Centre for Studies in African Taxation (CSAT). The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the IBFD Library and the production studios and receive a demo of the IBFD Tax Research Platform (TRP) and online training solutions.
This partnership will foster mutual growth and development, ultimately contributing to the improvement of tax systems and administration in Morocco, as well as promoting a stronger understanding of tax matters among professionals and stakeholders in the field.
