Introducing a new citation style: Chicago Manual
1-minute read
IBFD has adopted the Notes and Bibliography style of The Chicago Manual of Style (18th ed.) for its books and journals.
This style system enables citing in footnotes – the norm in legal citation – and accommodates a wide variety of sources.

“Chicago” is one of the most frequently used citation standards and available in all commonly used citation plug-ins, reference managers and citation generators. We expect this change will greatly improve the experience of authors and citers, and have a positive effect on the usage and impact of our publications.
Our updated instructions for books and journals provide further guidance for authors. If you have any questions, please contact IBFD Author Support or your IBFD editor
