This overview highlights the Commission’s (i) 2022 annual report on the protection of the European Union’s financial interests and the fight against fraud, (ii) call on 17 Member States to transpose the EU Public Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) Directive, (iii) closing of infringement procedure against Spain regarding non-communication of ATAD measures implementing exit tax rules, (iv) closing of infringement procedure against Spain regarding obligation of non-resident taxpayers to appoint a tax representative, (v) closing of infringement procedure against Spain regarding non-communication of ATAD 2 measures implementing rules on hybrid mismatches and (vi) approval of German scheme to support private investments in strategic goods to foster the transition to a net-zero economy under State aid rules, (vii) Hungarian aid scheme for accelerated investments in strategic sectors to foster the transition to a net-zero economy, and (viii) amendment of Spanish scheme granting tax deductions to film and other audiovisual work producers.
