This article analyses the impact of aggressive positions taken by the tax authorities, specifically with regard to key economic sectors experiencing rapid growth, namely information technology and software development; information technology enabled services; and business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing by foreign parties in favour of India.
