Three completed rounds of transfer pricing audits in India have resulted in various challenges on core transfer pricing matters, issues involving the interpretation of legal provisions thereof and the pronouncement of several key rulings. The authors detail and discuss various cases (Aztec Software, Mentor Graphics, Development Consultants, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Cargill India) in order to provide some key lessons for taxpayers.
