A review of the OECD publications "Revenue statistics 1965/1998" and "Taxing wages 1998/1999". The first one provides data following a standardized classification of tax revenues collected by governments of the OECD Member countries. The second publication shows what is left of the gross wages of selected taxpayers once income tax and social security contributions have been paid and any universally available family benefits received.
