WHAT'S GOING ON IN ...: MALTA: MALTA, THE IMPUTATION SYSTEM AND THE EUROPEAN UNION

The purpose of this note is to provide the background to the various issues raised by the Commission regarding Malta's tax system since its accession to the European Union on 1 May 2004, analyse these issues and provide information on the agreement that has recently been reached between the Commission and the Maltese government.
